The G.O.T Hood (Getting Out The Hood) Program is dedicated to empowering underserved and underrepresented communities with the essential financial literacy tools needed to break the cycle of poverty and create pathways to economic prosperity. Our mission is to support generations of young BIPOC adults in their journey to financial independence by providing accessible education, resources, and community support.
Program Description:
G.O.T Hood is a comprehensive financial literacy program designed to educate and empower at-risk high school students and first-generation college students from BIPOC communities. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and personalized support services, participants learn fundamental financial concepts and practical skills to manage their money effectively, build wealth, and pursue entrepreneurial endeavors.

Financial Literacy Workshops:
Our workshops cover a range of topics, including budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, and entrepreneurship. Participants gain practical insights and strategies to make informed financial decisions and create a solid foundation for financial success relevant to their young lifestyle.Entrepreneurship Support:
G.O.T Hood encourages participants to explore entrepreneurship as a pathway to financial independence. We provide guidance on business development, marketing, and financial planning, empowering aspiring entrepreneurs to launch and grow their ventures.Access to Financial Services:
Qualified participants have access to free financial services, including credit repair and tax preparation, when funding allows. These services help remove barriers to financial stability and empower families to build stronger financial futures.STK Events and Workshops:
Participants are encouraged to attend at least one STK (Sec) event or workshop, where they can network with industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and expand their skill sets.Partnerships with Schools:
Our long-term vision includes partnering with local high schools and colleges to integrate financial literacy education into the curriculum. Through weekly classes and workshops, we aim to reach more students and provide ongoing support throughout the school year.
